About us...
Established in 2008 By Andy Jordan (Chef) & John Bartlett (Butcher).
Andy is a trained chef and has worked in many high-class restaurants & hotels over his 20 years experience including 6 years for Marco Pierre White.
John is a highly skilled master butcher with over 30 years experience in the trade.
We provide expert advice on both the selection and cooking of our quality meats using our respective skills & years of experience.
In the Natural Kitchen we have found the perfect partner to launch our business having the same ethos on quality, sustainability and great customer service.
What we do...
We sell a wide range of high quality free range & organic meats, sourced where we can directly from small traditional farms.
One of our main suppliers is Richard Stephens from Monkshill Farm Nr Faversham in Kent, from where we source our Salt Marsh Lamb, “Kentish Ranger” Free Range Chickens, Sandy Black & Large White Pigs. We pick up from there 3 times a week and bring it straight into the shop giving us full traceability & low food miles, as well as having amazing quality tasty meat.
All our Beef comes from Aberdeenshire and is Dry Aged on the bone for 28 – 35 days for flavour & tenderness. We always try to have some interesting cuts in our counter such as Onglet/Hanger steak or Short Ribs, for the more ambitious cook.
For those short on time we also have a large range of ready to cook meats such as our famous Chicken Kiev‚s, Veal & Basil Meatballs, Piri Piri Chicken, Salt Marsh Lamb Kofta‚s to name a few.
We are also very proud of our gluten free sausages, which we believe are some of the best around, we have our famous “Londoner” (Pork, Sage & onion), Smoked Toulouse, Chicken & Sage or Merguez along with many others. They are all made with choice cuts, natural casings and no breadcrumbs, rusk or fillers.
Personal Service...
At Chef & Butcher we pride ourselves on our personal service, we can prepare any cut of meat exactly how you want it and if you are having trouble finding a particular cut/product we will endeavour to source it for you.
We can also offer bespoke household accounts & delivery service to people with no time to visit us in the shop.
We can guide you through the various cuts and cooking techniques to find exactly what you need, or you can let our display inspire you backed up with plenty of recipe ideas from us.
